But true as that may be let’s say something else, let’s say that a diamond has been smuggled into the wasteland … and here is where the wasteland ends” – Tom Robbins, Author of Even Cowgirls Get the Blues
It is simple, really. With James Lee you get great songs, great guitar playing, great voice and a gifted comedian as well. You are in for a very entertaining evening.” Village Voice

The Tall Men Group With JaKL
Saturday, July 20th, 6 pm
Tall Men Group was born in 2012 when beloved singer-songwriter Jimmy Yessian invited five of his peers over for dinner. That night inspired 13 years (and counting) of monthly dinners to which each member brings in a brand new song. That in turn has led to five albums, countless live shows up and down the west coast, and an ardent fan following.
The Talls are now down to four members, and still going strong. Edward Tree is everyone’s first choice as producer and guitarist. Severin Browne has hosted his First Friday concert series for two decades. Marty Axelrod is the host of the zoom concert/hangout series Party At My Cave. John Stowers just released his solo album Open.
Having lost their founder and chef Jimmy to cancer in 2021, the Talls carry on with take-out dinners and still brilliant songwriting. Their live shows are treasured for rich vocal harmonies, top-notch musicianship, brotherly camaraderie and unforgettable songs.
